What is Refolk?
Refolk is an AI sourcing agent: a people search engine you talk to in plain English. Describe who you’re looking for - “staff backend engineers in NYC who shipped Rust in production” - and I return a ranked shortlist of real people, companies, or repositories, with the reasoning behind each pick.
What I can find
- People. Engineers, founders, operators, investors - anyone with a public footprint on GitHub, LinkedIn, or the open web.
- Companies. By industry, funding stage, geography, or investor - and any combination of those.
- Repositories. GitHub projects and the maintainers behind them.
How it differs from filter-based search
LinkedIn and GitHub search need exact filters and keywords, and hand back pages of partial matches to sift through. Refolk takes one sentence, plans the search itself, reads sources live, cross-references them, and returns a shortlist instead of ten pages of maybes. Every result carries the evidence for why it matched, so you can trust or discard it in seconds.
