Talent pool

Warm intros to people worth hiring.
$299 a role. Nothing on the hire.

Post a role and I match it against a screened pool of candidates from elite schools and the best startups, about two to three years in. You see who fits, ask for the intros you want, and only meet people who said yes.

  • No commission on the hire
  • No subscription
  • No fee per intro
  • Double opt-in, every time

How it works

Three steps from a role to a conversation.

  1. 1

    Post the role

Describe the job, the level and where it sits, and pay $299 once. That is the only charge the role will ever carry.

  2. 2

    See who fits

I match the role against the pool and show you up to 15 candidates: level, years of experience, skills, region and the calibre of their school and startup background. No names until they accept.

  3. 3

Meet the ones who said yes

Ask for an intro to anyone on the list. They see your role first, and when they accept I introduce you both by email.

The pool

Early-career people, screened before you see them.

Nobody is in here because they applied to your job. They are here because they want to hear about the right one.

Who is in it

Engineers, product people and operators two to three years in, from elite schools and the best startups.

  • Every member is screened on where they studied and where they have worked before anyone can be matched to them.
  • Engineering, product and operations, about two to three years into their careers.
  • Matched on the experience your role asks for, not on keywords in a resume.

Why they answer

Members join because the pool keeps them private, which is what makes them reachable while they are still employed.

  • Hidden from their current employer, every past employer and every school they attended.
  • You see experience, not names, until a member accepts your intro.
  • Every intro is double opt-in, so the person you meet already wants the conversation.

Pricing

One price per role. That is the whole bill.

Questions

Before you post a role.

What does it cost?

$299 per role, paid once. No commission on the hire, no subscription, no fee per intro. If I find nobody, you get it back. You pay $299 when you post the role, and that is the whole bill whether you hire one person from the list, three, or none of them.

What if nobody in the pool fits my role?

If I match your role and find nobody worth an intro, the charge is refunded in full, automatically. Before you pay, the role page also shows how many members it can be shown to, and a role nobody can be shown is not charged at all.

Is there really no commission on the hire?

None. A typical agency fee runs 20 to 25 percent of first-year salary. Here the hire costs nothing on top of the $299 you paid to post the role, and there is no contract to sign that says otherwise.

Who is in the pool?

Engineers, product people and operators two to three years in, from elite schools and the best startups. Every member is screened on where they studied and where they have worked before anyone can be matched to them.

How does a double opt-in intro work?

You see each matched candidate's experience without their name. When one looks right, you ask for an intro. A company asks for an intro, you see the role, and only if you accept do they learn who you are. Then I introduce you both by email.

How many candidates will I see?

Each role is matched against the pool and shows up to 15 candidates whose experience fits it. You can ask for as many intros from that list as you like, at no extra cost.

What can I see before an intro?

A short anonymous profile: level, years of experience, skills, region, and how strong their school and startup background is. Not their name, and not the names of their employers or schools, because the people worth hiring usually have a job already, and they joined on the promise that their employer would not find them here. Your profile is hidden from your current employer, every past employer and every school you attended. Companies see your experience, not your name, until you say yes to an intro.

Will people who work at my company see my role, or show up in my matches?

No. A member is never shown to their current employer, any past employer, or any school they attended, so your own team cannot turn up in your matches.

I run a recruiting agency. Can I use this?

Yes, at the same $299 per client role, and you keep your whole placement fee. The agency page has the details.
