Free tier
- 500 credits the moment you sign up. No card required.
- Refilled to 250 on the 1st of every month (UTC) if your balance is below that floor. Enough to keep casual searching free.
- Up to 3 free 500-credit packs per week on top of that, granted instantly from Settings → Credits. Rolling 7-day window.
- Free credits don’t stack: the monthly refill tops you up to the floor, it doesn’t add on top of it.

How credits work
Every search costs credits. The price scales with what the search actually used: the model tokens it spent thinking and the web lookups it performed, plus a small margin. Quick lookups cost a credit or two; deep multi-step research with web search costs more.
- Cheap searches stay cheap. A simple “find me X on GitHub” rarely breaks single digits.
- Heavy searches scale. Multi-step agentic research with web browsing can cost tens of credits. The agent tells you what it’s doing as it goes.
- You see the cost. Each query is logged in your credit ledger with the conversation it came from.
FAQ
Is there a subscription?
No. Refolk is free for now: monthly free credits, plus the weekly self-serve packs. Anything beyond that is a quick request, also free.
Do I need to enter a card?
No. Sign up is enough. Credits are granted to your account directly while Refolk is in early access.
Do unused credits roll over?
The monthly refill tops your balance up to 250. If you didn't use last month's, they don't add to next month's. The weekly free packs and any credits granted on request stay on your balance while your account is active.
What if I run out mid-search?
You can't. Each search reserves credits up front and won't start if your balance is too low. Your account is never overdrafted.
Do you have a team or enterprise plan?
Not yet. If you're running heavy volume or want centralized billing for a team, email hello@refolk.ai to discuss options.
Will pricing change?
Material changes are posted here with notice. Credits already on your balance are honored at their current value.
