Privacy and your data

Your profile, your resumes, and your applications are yours. Nothing you write on the candidate side is shown to the recruiters who use the hiring side of Refolk, and personal data is never sold.

Not shared with recruiters

Refolk runs two products off one account system, and they do not read each other. The search product on the hiring side works from publicly available information about people on the open web. It has no access to candidate profiles, resumes, or applications, and uploading a resume here does not put you in anyone’s search results.

What is stored

  • Account data - email, name, and avatar from your sign-in provider.
  • Your profile and resumes - the structured history you gave me and the documents written from it.
  • Your applications - the postings you queued, the tailored materials, and the pipeline status.
  • The credit ledger, so billing and history work.

If you use the research option

Building a profile from public links reads pages that are already public and shows you the list of what it read. Nothing is published back out, and the result is stored on your account like any other profile. See Building your profile.

Deleting it

Email hello@refolk.ai from your account address. The account, profile, resumes, applications, and credit ledger are purged within 30 days, subject to the billing and audit retention the law requires. The full, binding policy is the privacy policy.
