About this role
Job Description
Japan Community Hub Management & Long-term Operations: Responsible for the from-scratch setup, localization configuration, and long-term daily operations of core official community hubs in the Japanese market (focusing heavily on Twitter/X and Discord). Deeply analyze the unique social behaviors of Japanese players to design high-engagement community growth loops, seasonal activities, and interactive campaigns, ultimately driving community activity and organic virality.
Japanese Player Sentiment Monitoring & Crisis Management: Conduct deep daily monitoring of player sentiment, cultural sensitivities, and trending topics across Japanese social media, compiling structured data-driven reports on a regular basis. Swiftly and independently draft and publish localized official announcements during game maintenance, unexpected bug outbreaks, or PR emergencies, utilizing a flawless mastery of Japanese corporate business honorifics (Keigo) to safeguard the brand’s reputation.
UGC Cultivation & Moderator Ecosystem Maintenance: Recruit, train, and manage localized Japanese Discord moderator/maintenance teams to foster a healthy, welcoming, and safe community atmosphere. Actively cultivate strong relationships with core Japanese fan-creators and local KOLs to consistently stimulate the production of high-quality UGC (User-Generated Content).
Cross-functional Communication & Feedback Bridge: Gain sharp insights from Japanese community feedback and translate them into structured, actionable reports for the Product/PM and global Brand teams, empowering developers to thoroughly grasp user feedback and product suggestions.
Job Requirements
Industry Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in game publishing or community operations specifically for the Japanese market. Having出海 (global publishing) experience with well-known Anime/ACG, female-oriented, or hardcore gaming titles is a significant plus.
Subculture Resonance & Cultural Insights: Possess a powerful passion for and a deep structural understanding of the local Japanese ACG subculture (including Otaku culture, VTuber ecosystems, Doujin/fan culture, and mainstream mobile game landscapes). Equipped with a highly sensitive "radar" when handling sensitive player discussions (e.g., perfectly dodging copyright pitfalls, cultural taboos, or sensitive public/social topics).
Data-driven Mindset: Proficiently master the built-in and third-party analytic tools of Twitter/X and Discord. Capable of leveraging key metrics - such as engagement rates, sentiment indices, and organic growth rates - to scientifically diagnose community health and rapidly iterate operational strategies.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Journalism, Communications, Linguistics, Marketing, or other related fields.
Tools & Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Discord bot configurations and overseas social media scheduling tools. Basic graphic design processing skills (e.g., using Photoshop for minor adjustments to image banners, sizes, or typography for social assets) is a valued plus.
Language Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in English and Japanese is required. Must be capable of ensuring smooth, high-frequency, and barrier-free cross-border business alignment with internal global teams.
