About this role

Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in genre-defining games. Back in 2009, that vision gave birth to our debut title League of Legends, which achieved critical acclaim among players and became the most played PC game in the world. We are honored to serve over 100 million players worldwide every month.

The Product Management, Publishing discipline partners closely with product and publishing leaders to bring forward analyses, recommendations, solutions, products and strategies that address complex player experience and business issues to achieve the best outcomes for players, such as drive initiatives for CN in-game event planning, channels collaboration, monetization, and around game features. You will get deeply involved in every aspect of our game’s business operations and revenue management, designing and delivering in-game events pipelines that Chinese players love, exploring new monetization strategies that enhance player experience, or exploring new around-game experiences for players to access the contents that they love.

As a Product Manager, TFT, you will report directly to the TFT & FFGS China Publishing Product Lead and contribute to strategy development and execution for TFT player growth, engagement, monetization, and esports initiatives in China.

You will work closely with global teams and publishing partners to shape strategies and recommendations that serve Chinese players. You will help connect player needs, market opportunities, business goals, and execution feasibility into clear plans that teams can act on. By encouraging teams to collaborate, you'll guide development, smash through obstacles and drive projects across the finish-line and into players’ hands. You'll help conceptualize, influence and execute together with our regional teams and across teams at Riot.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with TFT dev team and Tencent product team to organize their efforts - accounting for delivery timelines, ensure product quality, revenue impacts, and opportunity costs
  • Support TFT China operations by helping develop publishing plans, player journey improvements, engagement initiatives, and operational opportunities.
  • Support TFT franchise esports strategy by identifying opportunities to strengthen player participation, viewership, and publishing integration.
  • Build, report, and maintain business health metrics across engagement, monetization, player sentiment, and market performance.
  • Conduct market analysis, business projections, impact assessments, and opportunity evaluations to support decision making.
  • Present business insights, product outcomes, and recommendations to stakeholders across Riot, Tencent, and partner teams.
  • Explore new around-game product opportunities, publishing experiences, and monetization strategies that enhance the local player experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of professional experience in product management, publishing operations, in-game experience. PC and strategy game experience preferred.
  • Experience with microtransactions and game monetization, either through design or personal experience.
  • Experience building structured strategies, business cases, projections, and decision-making frameworks for product, publishing, or business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the China gaming market, including player behavior, content trends, monetization preferences, competitive landscape, and platform / channel dynamics.
  • Fluent in Chinese and English, and can drive collaboration across language and culture
  • Willingness to travel frequently

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in product management, business operation, ecommerce, consulting, or business strategy for consumer-facing products
  • Advanced degrees in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, a related discipline, or comparable work experiences
  • Experienced stakeholder management and rapport-building skills
  • Experience driving projects from planning through launch, measurement, and iteration.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, especially when translating complex business, player, or market insights into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
