About this role

As Producers at Riot, we lead passionate teams to create products and experiences that deliver maximum player value. We guide development, clear blockers, and push projects across the finish line while making sure that our teams are sustainable and have a great collaborative environment.

As a Senior Manager, Game Production on VALORANT Maps, you will lead production planning and execution for a multidisciplinary pod building the map experience. You will partner with level design, environment art, engineering, technical art, creative, product, and QA to translate product and milestone goals into clear plans and demonstrable progress. You will help the team establish and improve the workflows, technical foundations, and cross-discipline partnerships needed to develop map sustainably. You will connect day-to-day pod execution with broader VALORANT goals: aligning on priorities, surfacing risks and dependencies early, and helping the team make informed tradeoffs as maps and their production pipelines evolve. This role will report into the Sr. Director of Game Production for VALORANT.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain multi-discipline work systems and support project wide efforts
  • Drive planning and creation of product and feature roadmaps
  • Hold teams accountable to predictable delivery of commitments
  • Ensure strategic alignment between team work and VALORANT goals
  • Ensure teams are structured, staffed and funded appropriately
  • Ensure psychological safety, healthy feedback culture, and conflict management within and between teams on your Initiative
  • Iterate on the production processes to continuously improve our velocity, collaboration, and visibility

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience in software/game development
  • 4+ years in a leadership position, working directly on the production of a game
  • 2+ years direct people management experience
  • Experience leading teams through art production and feature development (planning, execution, delivery, post-release support)
  • Experience managing a cross functional development team of 30 people
  • Experience leading projects with large outsourcing & co-development teams
  • Experience leading teams with long term content development pipelines

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in game development or a good understanding of how artists, engineers, and game designers build assets and game features for a modern game
  • Experience working on console, mobile & PC games
  • Familiarity with VALORANT

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
