About this role
Producers at Riot lead passionate cross-functional teams to craft creative content and incredible experiences for our players. We guide development, remove obstacles and drive projects to completion while ensuring teams operate sustainability in a collaborative environment.
As a Sr. Manager, Game Production on an unannounced R&D project, you will partner closely with creative leaders across Art, Audio, and Narrative to build and execute their long-term plans. You will serve as the primary driver of creative alignment, formalizing processes to ensure that creative disciplines can best partner with design, engineering and other teams. Through clear tracking, transparent reporting, and the establishment of durable production systems, you will build confidence with stakeholders while ensuring creative work is delivered with quality, clarity, and velocity.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, and creative craft leads (Characters, Environment, VFX, Animation, etc.) to build long-term development plans, aligning creative vision with product milestones and delivery timelines.
- Formalize production processes, review gates, and communication frameworks to ensure creative disciplines partner effectively with other development disciplines across the project.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of art, audio, and narrative producers, acting as a "producer for producers" to elevate the creative production craft and establish best-in-class workflows.
- Translate established creative direction into executable production plans, helping transform a wide range of creative inputs into a unified foundation for execution.
- Facilitate cross-discipline alignment throughout development, surfacing misalignment or risk early and routing decisions appropriately.
- Partner with Production and Discipline Leadership to plan creative capacity, manage resource allocation, and integrate external vendor work seamlessly into internal pipelines.
- Ensure creative deep dives, immersion rituals, and required creative materials are actively used and integrated into the broader development cycle.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience as a game producer.
- 4+ years in a leadership position, working directly on the production of a complex live game project.
- Proven experience leading art, audio, and/or narrative production at scale, with a strong understanding of creative pipelines and review workflows.
- Experience managing other producers or cross-functional teams, acting as a mentor and driver of production best practices.
- Experience formalizing cross-discipline processes and aligning creative direction with technical and design milestones.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with production tools like JIRA to track development and create reporting.
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
