About this role

As the VALORANT Publishing Lead for the Americas, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the publishing strategy across one of VALORANT’s most critical and high-stakes global footprints. You will bridge global ambition with local execution, ensuring our strategy serves a diverse player base across North America & Latin America.

With deep expertise in competitive FPS gaming, publishing, and cultural offenses, you will act as the voice of the Americas region. You will lead cross-functional publishing teams, manage subregional strategies, and advocate for Americas players in global leadership discussions to amplify the game’s success and propel VALORANT into its next era.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a cohesive publishing strategy for the Americas that aligns with global objectives while tailored to the unique cultural nuances and player behaviors across the US, Canada, LATAM, and Brazil.
  • Serve as the strategic authority for the Americas, with dedicated focus on driving growth, cultural resonance, and retention across North America and Brazil.
  • Act as the primary regional voice in global publishing and game leadership discussions. Integrate regional player insights into global product, marketing, and content roadmaps.
  • Lead cross-functional discipline leads (Brand, Creative, Community, Comms, and Content) to execute Category Offenses, product launches, and ecosystem beats across the region.
  • Oversee the Americas publishing OpEx budget, driving efficient resource allocation across subregions, optimizing marketing performance, and balancing global bets with local activations.
  • Align local agency retainers, regional programs (e.g., VCT Americas, local roadshows, community events), and go-to-market activations with central publishing strategies.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a matrixed, regionally diverse team of managers and individual contributors across the US, LATAM, and Brazil, fostering a high-craft, growth-oriented culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in video game publishing, entertainment, or tech, with a track record of driving product, marketing, and community strategy for major live-service titles.
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing and leading multi-functional, multicultural teams across different international markets.
  • Deep understanding of the gaming landscape, creator economy, and cultural nuance across North America and Latin America, with specific expertise in the US gaming and esports ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to launch, scale, and sustain live-service game products or major content beats in a complex, multi-region territory.
  • Demonstrated success navigating matrixed organizations, advocating for regional needs with executive stakeholders, and executing within budget constraints.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional fluency in English, with a strong benefit to proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese
  • Deep familiarity with the VALORANT player base, VCT ecosystem, and the tactical FPS genre.
  • Strong quantitative background with a track record of using data, player insights, and attribution models to optimize strategy and publishing outcomes.

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
