About the Role

We're looking for a resourceful generalist to help us discover and execute the next growth opportunities at Overjoy. You'll work across growth, sales, customer research, and operations, turning loosely defined ideas into experiments we can launch, measure, and improve.

This is a full-time, in-person internship in New York City. The work combines analytical projects with hands-on execution across growth and operations.

What You'll Do

• Run growth experiments from idea to results. Develop a hypothesis, define a target audience and success metric, launch a small test, and recommend whether to scale, adjust, or stop it.

• Build and test new ways to reach customers. Research prospects, write outreach, test messaging and offers, and support campaigns across email, content, partnerships, events, and gifting.

• Understand customers and the market. Research consumer brands and retailers, gather customer feedback, map competitors, and turn what you learn into practical recommendations.

• Measure what works. Maintain clean campaign trackers and simple dashboards, analyze response and conversion rates, and write concise updates on results and next steps.

• Make operations more efficient. Use AI tools, spreadsheets, and lightweight automation to reduce repetitive work, improve data quality, and document processes others can repeat.

• Help wherever the business needs you. Take ownership of special projects across sales, product feedback, customer experience, and day-to-day operations, and follow through until the work is complete.

What We're Looking For

• A current student or recent graduate with curiosity about startups, AI, growth, and how businesses operate. Any academic background is welcome.

• Evidence that you've built, organized, sold, or grown something: a side project, campus organization, small business, campaign, or previous internship.

• Strong initiative and follow-through. You can take an ambiguous problem, ask useful questions, and turn it into a concrete next step.

• Clear writing and communication, attention to detail, and comfort working with spreadsheets and basic business metrics.

• Practical experience using AI tools to research, create, analyze, or automate work, with the judgment to check their output.

• Willingness to handle hands-on execution and campaign logistics with the same care you bring to strategy and analysis.

• Availability to work in person in New York City for a full-time internship.
