About the Role
You will play a crucial role in Nubank's balance sheet management. Your responsibilities will focus on optimizing risk-adjusted returns for the bank, involving daily assessment of the balance sheet, funding and liquidity needs, understanding trading positioning, and identifying potential levers to generate value for the company. Initially, you'll be tasked with the development and implementation of new products, and with supporting and automating traders' routines, but as you gain experience and develop, you will take on broader responsibilities across the desk.
What You'll Do
Support day-to-day treasury activities, including the sizing and implementation of cash and derivative trades, portfolio optimization, P&L calculation, and trading limit control.
Develop internal modeling and data visualization tools to support traders' decision-making processes and automate daily workflows.
Coordinate with other teams and build strong working partnerships, primarily with - but not limited to - ALM, Finance, and Risk teams.
Engage in ad-hoc projects related to new trading strategies, funding strategies, and other treasury solutions.
Contribute to the design, structuring, and implementation of new products, eventually including IRS, FX derivatives, and bond portfolios.
Act as a back up for the funding desk
What We're Looking For
At least 5 years of experience in financial sector.
Market experience and technical knowledge of fixed-income products, understanding how financial instruments are priced and traded.
Prior experience with derivatives (IRS, FX) and bond portfolio management in a treasury or trading desk environment.
Experience designing and developing analytical tools or data visualizations.
Excellent analytical skills, with a meticulous and detail-oriented approach.
Technical proficiency in Python and/or other programming languages.
Ability to multi-task and adapt, delivering across a variety of topics in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Fluent in English.
Certifications
AMIB 3/5 certification - required.
