What a generated graphic designer resume is made of

Your own history, restructured. Nothing on the page comes from anywhere else: every company, title, date, number, and technology has to be traceable to what you provided, and anything missing is left out rather than guessed at.

  • Input: an old resume, a profile export, or a plain description of your last few roles.
  • Output: a structured profile, then a resume written from it, then a Markdown file you can paste anywhere.
  • Structure is deliberately plain, because applicant tracking systems parse plain structure and mangle everything else.
  • Reading your history and writing the resume are both free, however many versions you want.

What it writes differently from a template

A template gives you headings. The hard part of a graphic designer resume is the bullets, and templates leave those to you.

  • Every bullet leads with the outcome, then the mechanism, rather than restating the job description.
  • Numbers appear wherever your source material supports one, and nowhere else.
  • Skills are concrete: Figma, Illustrator, Typography, Brand systems, and Motion. No "communication" as a skill.
  • Recent roles get three to five bullets, older ones get one or two, because length signals scope.

Per-job versions

The master resume is the base. Every job you queue gets its own version off it: bullets reordered, skills reweighted, summary rewritten for that posting. That is what tailoring means here, and it is why the per-job version is quick once the base exists.

  • The base resume is written once and reused.
  • Each tailored version is free and arrives with a cover letter and a fit score.
  • Every version is kept, so you can see exactly what you sent to whom.

Checking the output

Read it before you send it. Two specific things are worth checking on a graphic designer resume, because they are where a generated draft is most likely to be subtly wrong.

  • Every number. If a figure looks unfamiliar, it came from your source text and may have been a rough recollection.
  • Every skill claim. Assume you will be asked about all of them in an interview.
  • The summary. It is the one part written rather than restructured, so it is the part most worth your own voice.

FAQ

Will it make things up on my graphic designer resume?
It is instructed not to, explicitly and repeatedly: every company, title, date, number, and technology must come from what you provided, and a missing detail is omitted rather than invented. If a bullet looks wrong, it came out of your source text. Read the draft and edit anything that misrepresents you.
Is an AI-written resume worse than one I write myself?
It is better than the resume most people actually write, and worse than the resume they would write with a full day and an editor. The realistic comparison is not against your best effort; it is against the version you would produce at 11pm on your fifth application of the evening.
Can recruiters detect it?
What is detectable is genericness, not authorship: identical phrasing across candidates, claims with no specifics, a cover letter that would fit any company. A resume built from your own history and rewritten per posting does not have that signature. The tell to avoid is sending the same file everywhere.
What format do I get?
Markdown, which you can paste into a document, a text box, or an application form. Plain structure with standard headings, deliberately, because that is what parses reliably.
Can I keep more than one version?
Yes. One master resume plus a version per role or per application, all kept, so you always know what you sent.
