Introducing the Trainline Brand Proposition Team 👋
Reporting into the Head of Brand Proposition, the Brand Proposition Lead will be responsible for the exploration and development of Trainline's consumer proposition across all markets, ensuring it is delivered successfully and in line with insight and research. This role will have a particular focus on our New Business area, where Trainline is exploring new product verticals and entering new markets, giving you true end to end ownership of shaping a proposition from early insight all the way through to launch.
You'll work closely with teams across the business, including UX Research, Data Science and Brand Insights early on, and Product, UX, Engineering, Country Managers and Creative Studio as propositions move towards execution. This is a highly cross-functional role, and part of what makes it exciting is connecting the dots between different projects so they build into one coherent brand story.
In this role as the Brand Proposition Lead, you will...🚄
Take an insight and data led approach to proposition development, synthesising input from UX Research, Data Science and Brand Insight to build a clear picture of our customer segments
Lead the briefing of new research and insight, working closely with the Head of Brand Insights, and keep a close eye on the external market and competitor landscape to spot opportunities
Apply behavioural science thinking to shape and test hypotheses that sharpen our propositions
Be the voice of the brand and the customer within the New Business area, where Trainline aims to enter new product verticals and disrupt new markets, informing how we best define, communicate and launch new propositions in line with our wider consumer offering and comms platforms
Partner with Country Managers and local specialist teams to understand market and customer challenges and shape competitive, compelling solutions
Work closely with Product, UX and Engineering to develop and test propositions, helping prioritise the roadmap against business goals and customer needs
Collaborate with Senior Brand Managers, Creative Studio and Growth teams to set guidelines for how propositions are executed in market, communicating clearly to build buy-in across the organisation
Define success metrics for each proposition, track its product and marketing impact, and report results back to senior stakeholders
We'd love to hear from you if you have...🔍
Experience working in a tech and/or consumer-oriented industry, comfortable with a fast-paced business
A track record of leading projects end to end and getting the right stakeholders involved to keep things moving
A curious, analytical mindset, with confidence developing hypotheses, briefing research and using data and insight to guide decisions
Comfort managing and communicating with senior stakeholders, including Execs
Naturally organised, with experience managing multiple propositions from development through to delivery
Strong familiarity with both brand and business performance KPIs
Experience working within or alongside product marketing teams
It's helpful if you have exposure to AI tools and/or have experience across international European markets, though none of these are dealbreakers
