As an Engineering Manager, your primary role is to lead a team of software engineers in creating impactful software products. This involves guiding the team's technical direction, helping them do better, and making sure they meet their goals and roadmaps. Additionally, you'll help build a sustainable engineering environment that supports long-term growth and innovation.
Key Responsabilities
Balance strong technical skills with effective people management abilities.
Drive the creation and execution of roadmaps.
Lead teams in delivering multiple projects in various areas.
Engage in technical discussions, contribute to software architecture, and facilitate problem-solving.
Measure team impact, establish clear expectations and goals.
Oversee the software development lifecycle, implementing best-in-class engineering practices.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
Mentor and support the professional development of team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Encourage innovation and innovative thinking among team members.
Communicate effectively with team members, peers, and stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear terms as necessary.
Lead by example, establishing a positive work environment and promoting team cohesion
Minimum Qualifications
Solid background in software engineering, and proven experience in team management.
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
