If you’re motivated, smart, persistent, and a great teammate, we want to hear from you!
What you’ll do
The UK Financial Services sales team works across the financial services sector, helping leading institutions modernise legacy infrastructure, improve customer experiences, expand their digital capabilities, and identify new opportunities for growth.
As the banking expert within the team, you will develop new relationships within a named list of Tier 1 UK banks. You will identify high value use cases for Stripe, build compelling transformation and commercial cases, and lead complex opportunities from initial engagement through negotiation and close. If you’re motivated, smart, persistent, and a great teammate, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Own a named account list of Tier 1 UK banks and develop detailed account plans for winning and expanding business across complex organisations
- Act as the banking expert within the UK Financial Services team, sharing market insight and helping colleagues navigate the sector
- Own the full sales cycle, from initial outbound engagement and use case discovery through business case development, deal structuring, negotiation, and close
- Design and execute sales strategies suited to the extended decision making, budgeting, procurement, risk, and regulatory processes of large financial institutions
- Develop relationships with executive stakeholders and senior leaders across business, technology, digital, operations, finance, risk, compliance, legal, and procurement
- Navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems, building consensus between commercial sponsors, technical teams, control functions, and executive decision makers
- Identify and develop new use cases for Stripe across customer propositions, digital channels, financial operations, and new business models
- Translate banks’ strategic priorities and technical requirements into compelling, multi product solutions and clear commercial outcomes
- Coordinate closely with Solutions Architecture, Product, Partnerships, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, and other internal teams throughout the sales process
- Lead deal strategy and commercial negotiations for large, complex, and strategically important agreements
- Build and maintain a strong understanding of the UK banking landscape, including market dynamics, technology priorities, regulatory considerations, and competitive developments
- Bring structured feedback from banks and prospects to Stripe’s Product and GTM teams, helping to inform our product roadmap, value proposition, and market positioning
- Contribute to team initiatives that refine our financial services sales methodology, account planning approach, playbooks, and best practices
- Maintain a high quality pipeline and consistently deliver against ambitious revenue targets
