About this role
About Sentry
Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building.
Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
About This Role
At Sentry, our Mobile team builds the next generation of observability tools for developers worldwide - processing over a billion events every single day. We're looking for a technical Senior Product Manager, Mobile to bring clarity and context to the team and help us create a delightful Sentry experience for mobile developers across the globe.
The way we work is a little different: product managers at Sentry don't single-handedly own the roadmap or dictate what to build next - the closest thing we have to a "product owner" is the team's Engineering Manager. Instead, you'll make sure the team deeply understands its users, the market, and how the product performs in the real world - where it delights and where it creates friction, so the right decisions happen naturally. This role reports to the Director of Engineering.
In this role you will
Turn scattered signal into clear context: Build and run a system that continuously gathers insight from everywhere it lives - users, customers, GitHub, our own product data, and the wider market (competitors, ecosystem trends, and industry shifts) - and turn it into well-framed problems, opportunities, and tradeoffs that inform the Mobile roadmap and guide prioritization. Draw out the people closest to customers (Sales, Support, Solutions) who are often acutely aware of the features we're missing, especially the ones about to cause customer churn
Be the developer's voice: Talk to developers and engineering leaders on a steady cadence, represent them when internal decisions get made, test ideas quickly and cheaply before committing engineering, and use what you learn to keep us aligned on the top priorities for this persona
Elevate the end-to-end mobile developer experience: Together with the Engineering Manager & Mobile engineers you will influence and improve the full user journey, from catching and surfacing a mobile issue in Sentry to resolving it automatically - across native (iOS, Android) and cross-platform (React Native, Flutter, KMP) developers alike
Connect the dots and build trust: Partner closely not just with the engineering team, but also various internal stakeholders across the company - earning trust over time by delivering on your commitments and communicating clearly with people inside and outside the company
Use AI to go faster and deeper: Apply strong judgment about where AI adds real leverage in discovery, synthesis, and analysis, and build it into repeatable systems rather than one-off prompts
Measure outcomes, not output: Commit to measurable objectives tied to real customer and business value, track the metrics that matter across usage and revenue, and turn what you see into hypotheses and action
You’ll love this job if you
Are relentlessly curious about users: you love talking to developers and customers, digging into data, structuring what you learn, and turning it into sharp hypotheses, problems, and bets
Genuinely care about developer experience: you love mobile platforms and sweat the details of a great end-to-end UX
Are technical enough to earn developers' trust: you know how software gets built, because you built or still build mobile applications yourself
Are a high-agency self-starter who organizes their own work: you don't wait to be told what to do - you find the problems that matter and bring them to a solution
Lead through context & collaboration, not control: energized by making a team smarter and letting them own priorities, rather than dictating the roadmap yourself
Qualifications
3+ years experience as a Mobile developer - you don’t solely rely on empathy when representing this persona, but speak from your own experience as well
5+ years as a Product Manager, ideally with B2B SaaS and observability products for mobile platforms - backed by a background in mobile software engineering (Apple, Android, React Native, Flutter, etc.)
Experience talking to customers directly and running continuous product discovery - you let evidence, not opinion, shape decisions
Strong business and product judgment with an affinity for data and metrics - you turn signals into clear hypotheses and actions
Excellent written and spoken communication, and a track record of driving outcomes through influence rather than authority - building alignment with engineering teams and business stakeholders through evidence and a clear narrative
Fluent with AI in your daily workflow - you use it to work faster and sharper across your PM craft, and know where it doesn't help
You live in the Vienna area or are willing to relocate
Not sure if you meet 100% of the qualifications? We encourage you to apply anyway. We're interested in people who are excited about this opportunity and eager to grow.
We are obliged by law to quote the minimum wage of EUR €64,554,-- gross per year for this position, in accordance with the respective collective agreement (IT-KV).
A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage). See Sentry Benefits for more details about the Company’s benefit plans/programs.
