About this role
Why join us?
We're a global tech company, just not the kind you're picturing. Our almost 1,000-person team builds tools that make work better for the three billion frontline workers who keep the world moving. We've got big tech scale, without the sign-off layers or corporate theatre. Every permanent team member gets equity, so when we grow, you do too. This next chapter is about scaling smart, powered by AI, a clear vision and real ownership. Big tech impact, without the big tech ick.
The team
You'll join our Product Experience team, the group responsible for the surfaces our customers see every single time they open SafetyCulture - most notably a new customizable homepage experience built around a shared, cross-product widget system. Instead of every team building its own one-off homepage or navigation, we're building reusable building blocks that any product area - inspections, actions, analytics, and more - can plug into and configure for their own use case. It's some of the highest-visibility, highest-traffic surface area in the product, and the work you do here will genuinely be seen by hundreds of thousands of people.
You won't be doing this alone or without support - this team has a dedicated Product Manager and Designer, and works closely with our Design System and Web Platform teams to make sure what you build is consistent, reusable, and well-supported.
What you'll be doing
Design, build, and ship customer-facing features end-to-end - from breaking down requirements with your PM and designer, through implementation, testing, and release
Build and extend our widget-based homepage framework, ensuring components are reusable across different product domains rather than one-off and siloed
Collaborate daily with your PM, designer, and QA to make sure what ships is well-tested, performant, and genuinely useful to customers
Keep a sharp, ongoing focus on performance - this is one of the first things a user sees on login, so speed and responsiveness matter as much as functionality
Contribute to technical decisions within your immediate team, while leaning on more platform-focused engineers for deeper architectural calls
Participate in code review, testing practices, and day-to-day agile ceremonies (planning, estimation, retros)
You may be a great fit if you have
Strong, hands-on experience with React and TypeScript (or another strongly-typed language), with a genuine track record of shipping customer-facing features end-to-end
A demonstrated ability to ramp quickly and take ownership of feature delivery without needing a large team scaffolded around you
A performance-first mindset - you think about how a component behaves under real load, not just whether it technically works
Solid instincts for working cross-functionally with product and design, and comfort taking feedback and iterating quickly
Experience with modern frontend testing practices and a pragmatic approach to code quality
You don't need deep backend, platform, or design-systems expertise for this role - the team already has strong coverage there, and you'll be able to lean on specialists rather than owning that scope yourself
What you don't need
This role is intentionally scoped as a strong, focused frontend hire rather than a full-stack or platform-owning position - you won't be expected to carry backend architecture, and prior mobile (React Native) experience isn't required.
