About this role
About the Role
This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership. You'll cover the EMEA region across both inbound and outbound, with proven processes and playbooks to start from, and the freedom to own your territory and bring your own ideas. That could mean trying new sequences, messaging, and account approaches, and spotting opportunities as they come up.
We're hiring a Sales Development Representative to start conversations with the data, engineering, AI, and marketing teams who buy RudderStack, moving between technical and business conversations. You'll research target accounts, reach the right people with relevant outreach, and book qualified meetings for our Account Executives.
You'll work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Revenue Operations. Our SDRs use AI research tools, intent data, and automation to handle the repetitive work, so you can spend more time on account research and real conversations. You'll learn how modern data infrastructure works and how technical buyers make decisions, which gives you a clear path into an Account Executive role.
*Our roles are remote first, and can be based anywhere in the UK (#LI-Remote).
What you'll do:
- Own your EMEA territory across inbound and outbound, including account plans, sequences, and messaging.
- Book qualified meetings for Account Executives and meet monthly pipeline targets.
- Research target accounts and buying committees across Data, Engineering, Analytics, Platform, AI, and Marketing teams.
- Run multichannel outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and video, personalized to each account's data stack and priorities.
- Follow up quickly on inbound leads, product sign-ups, and intent signals, and qualify them before handoff.
- Use AI research and writing tools, intent data, and sequencing platforms to work more accounts with better context.
- Partner with Account Executives on account plans and with Marketing on campaigns and events.
- Keep activity, contacts, and next steps accurate in the CRM.
- Share what you hear from prospects so Sales, Marketing, and Product can sharpen messaging and targeting.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- 1+ years in sales development or another quota-carrying sales role, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- A track record of taking ownership: you test new approaches, measure what works, and share it with the team.
- Clear, concise writing and confidence on the phone.
- Curiosity about how technical products work and why companies buy them.
- Comfort moving between technical and business conversations, from data engineers to marketing and MarTech leaders.
- Comfort learning technical concepts such as data pipelines, cloud data warehouses, and APIs well enough to hold a credible first conversation.
- Daily use of AI tools to research, draft, or organize work, with judgment about when the output needs your own edit.
- Organization and follow-through: you plan your day, track your numbers, and adjust when something isn't working.
- Resilience with rejection and a habit of asking for feedback.
- Integrity in how you represent RudderStack to prospects and teammates.
Bonus Points:
- Experience prospecting into engineering, data, marketing, or MarTech buyers.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, or other modern data tools.
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach or Salesloft, ZoomInfo or Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or intent tools such as 6sense.
Extra Notes:
If your experience isn't a perfect match for the job description, but you're still a good fit for the role, apply. We want to work with smart people who are good at their job, and, a lot of times, those people have non-linear career paths.
