About this role

As a Senior Software Engineer on an unpublished R&D project, you will be responsible for designing and implementing core social and store systems for one of Riot’s most exciting new games. You will work closely with Product, UX Design, and central teams to design, integrate, and build engaging social and purchasing systems in our game. In this role you will own the full vertical integration of social systems in our game, meeting and exceeding player expectations for our genre while adhering to our social safety standards. Additionally you will own the full integration of our in-game store and purchasing systems, offering players a world-class and secure experience in discovering, purchasing, and enjoying in-game purchases. Both of these objectives require extensive collaboration with central teams and other partners as well as legal and regulatory oversight to ensure all our systems are meeting and exceeding both player and industry expectations.

Riot engineers bring deep knowledge of specific technical areas but also value the opportunity to work in a variety of broader domains. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be expected to fully own the delivery of a complex, full stack feature including UI, implementation code, and integration with central systems. We work with both new and current technology, creating innovative solutions to overcome high-volume obstacles and to deliver player value. You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager supporting the Tech Foundations team within an Unpublished R&D Product. Internal Job Title: Software Engineer II

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players.
