About this role

About Us:

Rent the Runway (RTR) is transforming the way we get dressed by pioneering the world’s first Closet in the Cloud. Founded in 2009, RTR has disrupted the $2.4 trillion fashion industry by inspiring women with a more joyful, sustainable and financially-savvy way to feel their best every day. As the ultimate destination for circular fashion, the brand now offers infinite points of access to its shared closet via a fully customizable subscription to fashion, one-time rental or ownership. RTR offers designer apparel and accessories from hundreds of brand partners and has built in-house proprietary technology and a one-of-a-kind reverse logistics operation. RTR has been named to CNBC’s “Disruptor 50” five times in ten years, and has been placed on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list multiple times.

About the Job:

The Senior Executive Assistant is a trusted partner to Rent the Runway’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Legal & Administrative Officer, helping them spend their time on the decisions that matter most. You will anticipate what these executives need before they ask, prepare them to lead with context and confidence, and keep the company’s most important priorities moving across teams. You will shape how leadership runs day to day, from how meetings are structured to how decisions and commitments are tracked. You will represent executives with discretion and judgment, both inside the company and with board members, partners, and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide daily administrative support to multiple executives (CEO, CLAO and CFO)
  • Anticipate executive priorities by reading the business ahead of the calendar, flagging conflicts, risks, and time-sensitive decisions before they surface.
  • Own the executive operating rhythm for your executives, including team-level mechanisms to drive operational excellence, agendas for key meetings, pre-reads, decision logs, and the follow-through that turn meetings into outcomes.
  • Manage all aspects of executives’ calendars including: conference calls, appointments, meetings, travel, transportation, etc.
  • Act as primary liaison for the Board, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage the meeting calendars and logistics for the Board and Audit Committee.
  • Support in synthesizing information across teams into concise summaries that help executives make faster, better-informed decisions
  • Create and implement a system for scheduling and miscellaneous issues
  • Lead logistics for executive travel, offsites, and company and team-level events, aligning location and timing with business priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline how the executive team works, and build templates, playbooks, and AI-enabled workflows that save time at scale.
  • Handle business expenses, including reconciling corporate card accounts and creating/ submitting expense reports
  • Coordinate catering for executive events, board meetings, and occasional larger scale RTR events, as well as meals / coffee for executives on a regular basis.
  • Filing and other administrative tasks to maintain Rent the Runway’s books and records.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of company culture, organizational structure, and business processes to effectively navigate executive-level interactions and initiatives.

About You:

  • You have 10+ years of experience supporting C-suite executives in a fast-paced e-commerce, retail, or technology company.
  • You are highly responsive.
  • You manage confidential information with discretion.
  • You think ahead. You see the next two or three steps, and you prepare for them before anyone asks.
  • You bring sound judgment. You know what to escalate, what to resolve yourself, and how to handle sensitive situations.
  • You communicate with precision. Your briefings, summaries, and written materials are clear, concise, and ready to use.
  • You build trust quickly with people at every level.
  • You design simple systems that keep many priorities, people, and deadlines on track.
  • You are curious about how the business works, and you use that understanding to add value.
  • You are comfortable using AI tools to research, summarize, and optimize workstreams.
  • You have proficiency in Microsoft tools, Google suite, and AI platforms (Claude, Gemini etc.)
  • Bonus: public company experience
  • Bonus: experience in fashion, apparel, or circular and resale business models.
