Frontend Engineer, Ads Campaign Manager

Ads powers Reddit’s mission to bring community, belonging, and empowerment to everyone in the world. The Advertiser Platform organization owns ads.reddit.com, Reddit’s core advertiser-facing product.

We’re looking for a mid-level frontend engineer to join our Ads Manager team. Our team includes frontend and backend engineers who build tools that help advertisers create and manage campaigns at scale. We make complex advertising workflows easier to use, with a focus on performance and reliability.

In this role, you’ll own medium-sized frontend projects. You’ll help clarify requirements, propose technical solutions, and carry your work through implementation and release. You’ll make progress independently, collaborate with teammates on tradeoffs, and ask for input when you need it.

Responsibilities

• Build intuitive, accessible interfaces that help advertisers create and manage campaigns.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to turn advertiser needs into scoped projects.
• Own technical design, implementation, testing, and release for medium-sized frontend projects.
• Communicate progress, dependencies, and risks early so partners can plan around them.
• Review code and document technical decisions to help the team maintain and extend its work.
• Improve frontend performance and reliability, address bugs, and contribute reusable components and patterns.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in frontend engineering.
• Experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• Ability to break down a project, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and deliver a solution independently.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Experience writing maintainable code, testing your work, and participating in code reviews.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience building advertising products, creative tools, or design systems.
• Experience partnering directly with product managers and designers.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base salary range for this position is:$164,200-$229,900 USD
