About Pinterest:
Millions of people around the world come to our platform to find creative ideas, dream about new possibilities and plan for memories that will last a lifetime. At Pinterest, we’re on a mission to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love, and that starts with the people behind the product.
Discover a career where you ignite innovation for millions, transform passion into growth opportunities, celebrate each other’s unique experiences and embrace the flexibility to do your best work. Creating a career you love? It’s Possible.
At Pinterest, AI isn't just a feature, it's a powerful partner that augments our creativity and amplifies our impact, and we’re looking for candidates who are excited to be a part of that. To get a complete picture of your experience and abilities, we’ll explore your foundational skills and how you collaborate with AI.
Through our interview process, what matters most is that you can always explain your approach, showing us not just what you know, but how you think. You can read more about our AI interview philosophy and how we use AI in our recruiting process here.
As a Strategy & Operations Intern on Pinterest’s Global Content Organization (GCO), you’ll support business planning, performance analysis, and scoped operational projects. You’ll turn data into clear insights, track progress against team goals, and identify practical ways to improve how work gets done.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze business and operational metrics to identify trends, summarize findings, and explain performance against defined goals.
- Build or improve a recurring report or dashboard for a focused set of metrics; document metric definitions and refresh steps.
- Support team planning and goal-setting by organizing inputs, maintaining a milestone tracker, and surfacing open questions and dependencies.
- Coordinate a scoped team project by tracking milestones, documenting decisions, and preparing concise status updates.
- Review a routine workflow and recommend a practical improvement, including the expected benefit and suggested next step.
- Use Pinterest-approved AI and internal tools, where appropriate, to support research, analysis, and workflow improvement; validate outputs, use sound judgment, and follow responsible-use guidance.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience analyzing data to identify trends, answer defined business questions, and communicate clear takeaways.
- Experience using spreadsheets, reports, dashboards, or similar tools to organize, analyze, and present information.
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguous questions, identify relevant inputs, and develop practical next steps with manager guidance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when tracking milestones, documenting decisions, and maintaining project materials.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share concise updates and collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to use AI to improve the speed and quality of relevant research, analysis, or workflow outputs while validating accuracy and quality.
- High integrity and ownership when using AI and internal tools, including protecting sensitive data, following responsible-use guidance, and remaining accountable for final deliverables.
In-Office Requirement:
- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
- For this role, all interns will work in a hybrid model (commutable distance to one of our offices, with in-person collaboration approximately 1 - 3 times per week). Specific location(s) will be confirmed during the interview and offer process.
Relocation Statement:
- This position may be eligible for relocation assistance. Visit our PinFlex page to learn more about our working model.
