About this role

Meter is scaling fast, and we’re building the next-generation utility for internet infrastructure. That starts here in our distribution center. You’re not just moving boxes; you’re moving the business forward. If you’re someone who likes to build, improve, and grow with a company, someone who’s curious about how things work and eager to make them work better, this role is for you. We’re not just filling shifts. We’re building operations thinkers.

What Success Looks Like

As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll play a critical role in helping Meter deliver a world-class customer experience.

  • Fine-tune our shipping processes while keeping shipping errors and inventory discrepancies near zero.

  • Help keep fulfillment running smoothly as shipment volume grows and processes evolve.

  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose improvements that make the entire team more effective.

  • Take ownership of your work and consistently deliver with accuracy and urgency.

We’ll Know it’s Working if

  • You consistently meet or exceed weekly throughput goals.

  • Inventory accuracy remains below 1% variance.

  • Your attention to detail reduces rework and shipping errors.

  • Your teammates trust you to own your work and follow through.

What You’ll Do

You’ll spend most of your day working hands-on in the distribution center picking, packing, receiving, and preparing hardware that ships to customers around the world.

Beyond execution, you’ll help improve how we operate every day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming materials and consumables.

  • Pick, pack, and prepare shipments that meet strict quality standards and shipping deadlines.

  • Maintain accurate inventory within our warehouse management systems.

  • Help identify process improvements and participate in testing new workflows.

  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

  • Work closely with teammates to improve speed, quality, and consistency across warehouse operations.

Growth at Meter

This isn’t a job where you’ll spend years doing the exact same thing. As Meter grows, our distribution operations continue to evolve. We’re looking for people who want to grow alongside them.

You’ll have opportunities to:

  • Help design and improve distribution center processes instead of simply following them.

  • Work with new tools, automation, and operational technology.

  • Take ownership of projects that improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

  • Build skills that can lead to future opportunities in inventory management, logistics, operations, production, or supply chain.

If you’re naturally curious, enjoy solving problems, and want your ideas to matter, you’ll fit in well here.

Who You Are

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Enjoys learning new tools, systems, and processes.

  • Want’s to improve workflows not just follow them.

  • Is dependable, organized, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

  • Communicates clearly and collaborates well with others.

  • Is comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Why Meter?

The internet runs the world. Every email you send, purchase you make, video call you join - it’s all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.

We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.

Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.

Compensation

  • The estimated hourly pay rate for this role is $22 - $26 an hour.

  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.
