We’ve already launched our pharmacy service that allows people to shop for their pets’ medications and supplements online and get them delivered to their doorstep in presorted medication pouches. Now we’re focused on continuing to improve that experience while building a suite of new products and services that will make the pet health experience even better. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the retrieval, processing, and fulfillment of pets’ medication therapies. You will also be actively involved in the development and evolution of our operational policies and procedures that guide these core functions. Your expertise and experience will assist in shaping the best practices that drive world class customer experience. What you will do:
- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Assist pharmacist in retrieving prescription refills from veterinarian prescribers
- Follow up with patients as needed to clarify questions relating to and provide updates on their orders
- Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy
- Run automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medications
- Fill exception trays with appropriate medication
- Work daily with the Operations team to ensure the right medications are put in the right pouches
- Transition orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality control
- Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items
- Pack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxes
- Sort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right time
- Aid the Operations team with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing
- Clean, and help maintain, equipment and work areas
Basic Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
- Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to recognize and identify patient medications
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a rapidly evolving startup environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, self-starter capable of working independently
Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to obtain a Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Registered Technician Trainee License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months of experience working with computer and web based tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
