Senior Director, Medical Affairs - Cardiology

We’re hiring a strategic and relationship-driven Senior Director of Medical Affairs to lead how we engage, educate, and influence Principal Investigators (PIs) across our growing site network

In this role, you’ll build trusted peer-to-peer relationships with physicians, site leads, and clinical decision-makers. You’ll be responsible for helping PIs understand and embrace Iterative Health’s trial model, clinical philosophy, and performance standards - ensuring consistency, trust, and long-term site engagement across the network.

You’ll serve as a clinical ambassador and influencer, working cross-functionally with product,

site operations, and corporate development to shape how we scale, support, and activate high-performing sites. This is a high-impact, field-driven leadership role with strategic scope and visibility

Where You’ll Drive Impact

Physician Engagement

• Establish and deepen relationships with PIs and site leadership across our cardiology sites
• Develop and foster a structured engagement strategy with top investigators in the network

• Communicate Iterative Health’s clinical philosophy, trial model, and standards of excellence to site physicians
• Partner closely with Site Operations, Corporate Development, and Life Sciences teams to develop evidence-generation strategies.
• Evaluate emerging scientific literature, clinical trends, standards of care, and competitive developments.
• Translate complex clinical and scientific findings into clear strategic and clinical operational recommendations for PIs, leadership, and external partners.

• Serve as a strategic medical partner to CV Site Operations, Life Sciences, Corporate Development, Marketing, and executive leadership.
• Provide insight into site capabilities, performance, and interest areas to help shape the trial portfolio at the site level
• Support site growth by collaborating with Corporate Development to assess and engage new site leads
• Partner with Business Development to support protocol evaluations with current and prospective life sciences customers.
• Work closely with Clinical Operations and Site Network leadership to incorporate investigator and site perspectives into clinical strategy.
• Provide medical expertise in support of new indications, partnerships, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
• Performs related duties as requested

What You Bring to the Team

• MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant medical or scientific discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Field Medical, Site Engagement, at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Significant experience with cardiology principal investigators, community research sites, and cardiology KOLs
• Proven ability to build trust with physicians and influence clinical behavior
• Track record of driving site engagement and performance in clinical trials
• Strong understanding of clinical research, evidence generation, clinical development, and the healthcare ecosystem.
• Experience working cross-functionally across clinical, scientific, commercial, product, and executive teams.
• Strong scientific communication skills, including experience with publications, abstracts, presentations, or other scientific communications.
• Excellent strategic thinking and the ability to translate complex scientific information into actionable business recommendations.
• Exceptional executive presence, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment where priorities evolve quickly.
• Strong judgment and commitment to scientific integrity, patient-centricity, and ethical medical practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cardiology, or another relevant therapeutic area.
• Experience working directly with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
• Established network of community based cardiology investigators

New York pay range$210,000-$265,000 USD
