Overview

At Instacart, we're transforming the grocery industry through technology and AI-powered solutions.
The Data Operations team partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Machine Learning to build scalable operational processes and high-quality datasets that power advanced AI technologies, including computer vision and machine learning.

We're looking for a Data Operations Manager to lead cross-functional operational initiatives from concept to production. This role combines technical understanding with operational execution, requiring strong ownership, project leadership, and the ability to influence across teams in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job

• Design, implement, and scale operational processes that support onboarding, ongoing operations, and future growth.
• Lead end-to-end technical implementation projects across product, engineering, machine learning, and operation teams.
• Drive operational excellence through KPI ownership, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Drive the operationalization and rollout of AI and machine learning solutions into production environments.
• Take ownership of complex operational challenges, ensuring successful execution and measurable business impact.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Data Operations, Technical Operations, Project Management, or related fields.
• 2+ years of experience working in an R&D environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading technical implementation or integration projects.
• Experience working with Computer Vision, AI, or Machine Learning products.
• Experience with large-scale data annotation or data quality operations.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets.
