About this role
Gritt is an intelligent system that combines robotics and AI to build the infrastructure that pulls society forward. Gritt deploys via simple attachments to common equipment found on construction sites and autonomously performs labor-intensive tasks, verification, and planning. Gritt systems are already building critical infrastructure in the harshest outdoor environments, starting with large-scale solar. The founding team includes experts in robotics and AI from Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, and MIT. Gritt is backed by Obvious Ventures, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital, Climactic, Congruent Ventures, and other leading firms.
We're looking for a full-time Electronics Technician to handle the wiring, power, and electronics assembly work that keeps Gritt's robots running. This is a practical, hands-on role - we need someone who's confident running and terminating wiring harnesses, working around power and electrical systems safely, and assembling and troubleshooting computing hardware. This role is full-time on-site, and is a strong fit for someone who wants to get involved with one of the most exciting robotics companies pushing the boundaries of outdoor, real-world autonomy.
THE ROLE
What You'll Do
Build, route, and terminate wiring harnesses per drawings and wiring diagrams
Crimp, solder, and connect wiring to spec, and verify continuity and polarity before power-on
Assemble, wire, and integrate onboard compute, sensors, and embedded hardware into robot platforms
Work safely around low and mid-voltage power systems - batteries, power distribution, motor controllers
Diagnose and troubleshoot wiring and electrical assembly issues down to the connector or component level
Label, document, and organize wiring and cabling so systems are serviceable in the field
Support bring-up, bench testing, and debugging of new hardware builds
Keep the electronics bench organized and tools/equipment properly maintained
Fabricate simple enclosures with hand tools and power tools.
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience with wiring, harnessing, crimping/soldering, and basic electrical/power work
Comfortable assembling and troubleshooting computing hardware (builds, upgrades, component-level debugging)
Able to read wiring diagrams and schematics well enough to build and troubleshoot from them
High attention to detail, especially around safety with power and electrical systems
Comfortable in a hands-on, industrial, hardware-heavy environment
Reliable, proactive, and self-directed
A "no task is beneath me" mindset - at Gritt, founders take out the trash, and we expect everyone to pitch in wherever it's needed
A plus (or aptitude to learn)
Experience with robotics, automotive, or industrial electrical/wiring work
Familiarity with basic electrical test equipment (multimeters, bench power supplies)
Experienced working with micro controllers
Developing basic digital/analog circuitry
Experience working on personal projects focused on electronics
Experience with basic power tools
WHY GRITT
You'll work alongside a team building robotics for the real world, in one of the most ambitious physical-AI companies in the field. The wiring and electronics work you do is what keeps our robots powered, connected, and running in the field - and your work makes that possible.
