UI PROGRAMMER INTERN
What You'll Do
We are looking for a UI Engineering Intern to join us as we develop new and exciting seasonal content for our core Battle Royale game modes. As part of the UI engineering team you will work closely with art and design on player facing features that ship as part of our seasonal cycle. You will work with your lead and immediate team and design counter parts to build memorable, innovative systems for our passionate player base.
In this role, you will
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new and existing in-game UI, both the systems themselves and their intersections with gameplay features and services
- Optimize and fix bugs in both new and existing systems
- Gain experience with the live-service development process and learn best practices for success
- Collaborate effectively with peers, share knowledge, and support others' success as well as your own
- Build relationships with adjacent teams including Art, Design, QA, Production, and Gameplay
- Write and document robust, maintainable code, with extensibility in mind
What we're looking for
- Strong C++ programming skills
- Experience with Unreal Engine, UMG, and MVVM
- An enthusiasm for games and interactive entertainment, along with an interest in design and implementation principles
- Commitment to delivering quality work with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach, and a willingness to explore and learn unfamiliar systems
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully in a remote, cross-disciplinary team environment
This internship has a flexible start date in 2027. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
