About the role...

We’re looking for a senior iOS Software Engineer to join our Onboarding team. In this role, you’ll build and ship features that drive user growth and deliver high-quality learning experiences to millions of learners worldwide. You’ll work closely with product managers and designers to create engaging experiences for new users.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a fast-moving, high-impact team focused on improving the new user experience. You’ll gain experience working across the stack (iOS and backend), running experiments, and collaborating cross-functionally to improve key metrics like daily active users (DAU) and new users day 7 retention (NUD7).

🧠 You will...

  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to drive user growth
  • Develop, release, and maintain native iOS applications, primarily in Swift
  • Contribute to code reviews and collaborate across teams to ensure quality and scalability

✅ You have...

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • A solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • 5 - 10 years of experience programming in Swift
  • Dedication to our mission of universally available education
  • Relocation to Beijing, China. This position is based in Beijing.

The offered salary is dependent upon several factors, including work experience, skills, and internal peer comparisons. The posted range is subject to change in the future. For this role, base salary is supplemented by equity compensation. We encourage you to talk with your recruiter for more information related to compensation for this role!

Salary Range: $182,800-$247,300 USD
