About this role
About Dashlane
Dashlane’s mission is to deliver the credential security every business and employee needs to thrive. Millions of consumers, and over 25,000 brands worldwide, such as Michelin, Air France, and Forrester, trust Dashlane for industry-leading innovations, patented zero-knowledge security, and an unmatched user experience. Founded in Paris, Dashlane has since established offices in New York and Lisbon, and has grown to more than 300 Dashlaners globally.
We're looking for people who actively use AI tools to drive efficiency, creativity, and impact in their work. At Dashlane, we drive innovation and value learning, strive for excellence in everything we do, and thrive as one team. About the role:
Dashlane is looking for an IT manager to lead our global IT team and turn IT into a proactive partner for the business. You will manage a small, distributed team across Paris, Lisbon, and New York, and act as a player coach: setting direction and coaching your team, while staying hands on with the infrastructure and tools that keep Dashlane running.
This is a role for someone who wants to build, not maintain. You will inherit a team with solid operational foundations and a clear mandate to raise the bar: upskill the team, automate the repetitive work, and position IT as a driver of productivity and AI adoption across the company.
In 2022, we wrote about how we do IT at Dashlane. Much of that foundation still holds, and the company has grown since: we now operate from four offices (Paris, Lisbon, New York, and Boston) with a larger SaaS footprint. The team has added a dedicated DevOps engineer for GitLab and engineering infrastructure. The next step is incremental and raising the bar: push automation further with AI, and revisit some of those earlier choices, in light of what AI now makes possible and how the security environment has changed since 2022.
You will report to the CTO, with a close working relationship with the CISO given the overlap between IT and security operations.
You will be based in Paris, with English as your working language. At Dashlane, we embrace a hybrid culture that combines the best of both worlds: the creativity and energy of in-person collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Our model is designed to strengthen team connections while supporting individual productivity and work-life balance. To maximize collaboration, we come together in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, while Wednesdays and Fridays offer more flexibility for focused work.
At Dashlane you will:
Lead and grow a global IT team of 5: three system administrators (Paris, Lisbon, New York), one IT DevOps engineer in charge of GitLab and engineering infrastructure, and one project manager.
Act as a player coach: set the team's direction and priorities, and contribute directly on infrastructure, tooling, and escalations when the team needs an extra hand.
Assess the current team's skills and shape the team Dashlane needs for its next stage, including upskilling existing members and hiring where required.
Shift IT from a reactive helpdesk model to a proactive business partner: engage stakeholders across departments, understand their operational needs, and propose IT-driven solutions before problems reach your queue.
Make AI a core part of how IT operates and how Dashlane works: identify where AI can remove manual work in IT processes such as access management and onboarding, and lead the tooling and enablement that brings AI into daily use for employees across the company.
Own the company's core IT infrastructure: Azure as our infrastructure as code foundation (Terraform), SSO and SCIM provisioning (Entra) across our SaaS stack, endpoint management with Intune and Jamf, GitLab for Product & Engineering, with a focus on automation, reliability, and cost control.
Partner closely with the CISO and the security team on identity, access, and endpoint security, given the direct overlap between IT operations and Dashlane's security posture.
Define and track IT's roadmap and success metrics, including employee satisfaction, incident volume, and adoption of new tools.
Manage IT budget, procurement and vendor relationships.
Support Dashlane's evolution as the company grows: office moves, new locations, and the infrastructure decisions that come with scale.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years managing a team.
- Hands-on experience administering modern IT environments (Azure, Google Workspace, MDM/endpoint management, SaaS provisioning).
- Direct experience supporting engineering teams, including familiarity with GitLab or similar developer environment.
- Experience using AI tools and automation to reduce manual work in IT operations, and a point of view on how AI can support employees beyond IT.
- A track record of moving a team or function from reactive to proactive, with concrete examples of processes you automated or redesigned.
- Comfort operating in a small, distributed team spread across multiple countries and time zones.
- Fluent English, spoken and written. French or Portuguese is a plus given the team's footprint in Paris and Lisbon.
We're Also Looking For:
- Experience in working in a security sensitive environment. Comfort partnering with a CISO and security team.
- A partner and builder's mindset: someone who sees the opportunity to partner with stakeholders across the organization so IT can bring business value and not be just a support function.
- Experience operating in a scaling company, where offices, tools, and processes are still evolving.
- Genuine interest in AI and automation as tools to empower employees and reduce manual work.
- A leader who coaches people up, and who can have direct conversations about performance and role fit when the team's composition needs to change.
