About this role

The Role

We're hiring our first Regional Vice President for the Southeast. You'll be the founding sales leader for the region. You'll hire and lead a team of Enterprise AEs, set the operating standard, and turn a strong base of developer adoption and ClickHouse Cloud sign-ups into a durable enterprise business. If you've been an early leader in a region before and want to do it again with a technically differentiated product, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Build the region from the ground up. Own the Southeast territory plan, including which accounts, verticals, and metros to prioritize first, and where to place each new rep.

  • Recruit and close top-tier AEs. Use your regional network to hire a team of Enterprise AEs and keep growing it. Hire for technical curiosity, a proven record against a number, and high integrity.

  • Own the number. Carry the regional quota and forecast it accurately every week, month, and quarter. Run rigorous pipeline and deal reviews using a MEDDPICC-style qualification standard.

  • Land and expand enterprise accounts. Convert existing ClickHouse Cloud and open-source usage into committed enterprise agreements, then grow them as new use cases emerge. The Southeast's enterprise base spans financial services, payments, healthcare, logistics, retail, and media.

  • Get into deals. Join executive meetings, pressure-test deal strategy, and help reps through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving technical buyers, procurement, and security review.

  • Run a tight team with Solutions Architects. Work hand in hand with SAs and SEs so every opportunity is technically sound and every customer is set up to grow.

  • Work the full GTM machine. Partner with Marketing, Partners/Alliances (including cloud marketplaces), and our product-led growth motion to build pipeline and pick up self-serve accounts ready for a sales-assisted conversation.

  • Be ClickHouse's face in the Southeast. Build our presence with customers, partners, and the local data and developer community through executive events, meetups, and field programs.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales in data infrastructure, databases, analytics, observability, or cloud, including a strong record as a quota-carrying seller.

  • 5+ years leading enterprise sales teams as a first- or second-line leader, with consistent attainment you can walk us through number by number.

  • A record of building a region or team from an early stage: hiring the first reps, defining territories, and growing a new geography into a predictable business.

  • A deep Southeast network of enterprise AEs, customers, and partners, and a reputation that makes strong sellers want to work for you.

  • Forecasting and qualification discipline (MEDDPICC or similar). You know the difference between a commit and a hope, and your leadership can trust your call.

  • Technical fluency. You can talk architecture with data engineers and CTOs, and you can tell when a deal is stalling for technical reasons and when it's commercial.

  • Experience with consumption-based or usage-based pricing models, and an understanding that in a consumption business the signed deal is where the revenue starts.

  • The ClickHouse DNA: integrity, hunger, and accountability. You're curious, serious about the craft, and happy to roll up your sleeves.

Nice to Have

  • Experience as an early sales leader or early seller in the Southeast at a high-growth data or infrastructure company.

  • Background selling open-source or developer-led products alongside a product-led growth funnel.

  • Familiarity with real-time analytics, OLAP and columnar databases, observability, or AI/LLM workloads.

  • Established relationships with data and technology leaders at major Southeast enterprises.

  • Experience co-selling with AWS, GCP, or Azure and transacting through cloud marketplaces.
