About this role

Who we are

At Namaa, we build and operate tech-enabled urban infrastructure that gives consumers fast, reliable access to meals, groceries, and everyday essentials.

Traditional retail models, built around brick-and-mortar locations, often struggle to compete in today’s digital-first landscape. Challenges such as cost efficiency per square foot, logistics-optimized locations, and seamless technology integration have made it clear that a new approach is needed.

We believe the future of foodservice and commerce lies in purpose-built infrastructure designed for speed, accuracy, and scalability. That’s why Namaa was established - to power the next generation of digital food and quick commerce ecosystems across the Middle East.

Our ecosystem is driven by a portfolio of specialized business units, including KitchenPark, CloudRetail, and Profood Properties, each playing a key role in enabling brands to grow and thrive in an increasingly on-demand world.

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive commercial growth for NAMAA Services in the UAE, identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with food production and manufacturing businesses, and securing new customers and development opportunities.

The role will focus on developing a strong pipeline of prospective customers, understanding their industrial real estate requirements, and working cross-functionally to convert commercial opportunities into successful leasing agreements and potential build-to-suit developments.

What you’ll do

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the UAE, targeting food manufacturers, processors, FMCG companies, distributors and cold-chain operators.
  • Customer Acquisition: Proactively identify and engage prospective customers, develop a qualified business pipeline, and convert opportunities into signed commercial agreements.
  • Strategic Account Development: Build relationships with senior decision-makers across operations, supply chain, manufacturing, real estate and executive leadership to understand their facility requirements and expansion plans.
  • Market Intelligence: Research the UAE's food manufacturing and industrial real estate markets, identifying demand trends, prospective customers, competitor activity and opportunities for growth.
  • Project Origination: Identify businesses requiring new or expanded production facilities and explore opportunities for customized, build-to-suit developments based on customer needs.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Lead customer discussions, prepare commercial proposals and negotiate leasing terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Relationship Development: Build a network of brokers, industry associations, consultants and other relevant stakeholders to generate leads and strengthen ProFood's market presence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with real estate, development, engineering, finance and legal teams to align customer requirements with project feasibility and commercial objectives.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, track opportunities and conversion rates, and report on progress against agreed commercial targets.

What we’re looking for

  • 7 - 10 years of overall professional experience, including approximately 5 - 7 years in relevant business development or commercial roles.
  • Proven track record of generating new business, developing strategic accounts and closing commercial deals.
  • Experience in industrial real estate, commercial leasing, property development, industrial B2B sales or a related sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and ability to manage complex sales cycles.
  • Experience engaging senior decision-makers and building long-term business relationships.
  • Good understanding of the UAE business environment, with an established network across relevant industries preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, identify new opportunities and take ownership of commercial outcomes.
