If you’re excited by big challenges, global impact, and the chance to grow fast with a world-class team, ARQ is the place to do it.

About the role

You will be the certified investment advisor and regulatory officer of ARQ’s investment advisory entity in Mexico. You will own the advisory function end to end and act as the accountable person before the CNBV, while helping build a digital, scalable wealth product in close coordination with global teams.

  • Own the advisory framework, including investor profiling, product profiling, suitability and the reasonableness of recommendations

  • Own the entity’s core policies, including the Marco General de Actuación, Guía de Servicios de Inversión, conflicts of interest and disclosures

  • Act as the primary point of contact with the CNBV, leading information requests, supervisory visits and any remediation

  • Own the entity’s regulatory reporting and RAI obligations, including Anexo C and annual financial information

  • Partner closely with product, engineering and legal teams to translate regulatory requirements into clear product specifications for the app

  • Review and approve customer facing content, model portfolios and investment communications

  • Monitor the advisory activity and keep evidence that every recommendation is suitable and properly documented

  • Contribute to ARQ’s broader wealth roadmap in Mexico, including future licences.

What you’ll need

  • Current AMIB certification valid for investment advisory or be willing to certify

  • 5+ years of experience in investment advisory, wealth management or investment services compliance at a CNBV regulated entity

  • Deep knowledge of the Ley del Mercado de Valores and the Disposiciones de Servicios de Inversión

  • Track record of dealing directly with the CNBV, including information requests or supervisory visits is not a must but a plus

  • Hands on experience with investor profiling and suitability frameworks

  • Ability to work with product and engineering teams and turn regulation into practical product requirements

  • High ownership, sound judgement and ability to deliver in a fast paced, high scrutiny environment

  • Spanish and professional English

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at a digital broker, robo advisor or wealth fintech

  • Knowledge of ETFs and US listed securities

  • Experience setting up a new regulated entity or licence in Mexico

  • Knowledge of PLD/FT obligations for investment services

  • Experience with CNBV regulatory reporting systems such as SITI

Benefits
