About this role
Title: Marketing Manager, Promo & Incentives
Market: UAE & KW
Location: Dubai, UAE
Role Overview
As Marketing Manager, Promo and Incentives, you will report to the Senior Marketing Manager, Value & Promotions for the Middle East. You will own the operational delivery and performance of our promotional and incentive programmes, working cross-functionally to ensure every offer is targeted, well-timed, and commercially sound.
Incentives sit at the centre of how customers experience value on the platform - they influence whether someone tries the app, comes back, or drifts away. This role owns that layer day to day: turning the promotional calendar into targeted campaigns across the customer lifecycle, and making sure every campaign earns its budget.
What You'll Be Doing:
You’ll be joining the Middle East Marketing team. You will work cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Tech, Data Science, and Global/Central teams to build promotional plans that improve customer experience and drive operational excellence.
Here’s What Your Day-to-day Might Look Like:
Promotional Calendar Execution: Own the execution of the Middle East promotional calendar, translating quarterly strategy into targeted campaigns across the customer lifecycle: acquisition, activation, retention, and win-back.
Promo Strategy Development: Implement robust strategies focused on how value propositions can change customer behavior and drive ROI for Deliveroo and our Partners.
CRM & Lifecycle Campaigns: Work with CRM and Tech to build and deploy in-app and lifecycle campaigns, ensuring offers reach the right customer segment at the right moment.
Quarterly Strategic Planning: Develop quarterly and annual promotional roadmaps aligned with commercial priorities, seasonal opportunities, and market dynamics.
Budget Ownership: Manage and report campaign-level budgets, tracking spend against target and flagging when a promotion's ROI or margin impact is off plan.
Customer-centric Programmes: Partner with Data Science to translate customer and performance data into promo mechanics that are genuinely relevant, not just discounted.
Performance Optimization: Own weekly reporting on in-flight campaign performance and lead post-campaign analysis to identify what worked, what didn't, and what's worth testing next.
Promotional Analytics: Analyze price elasticity and discount depth mechanics by running structured tests to find the minimum effective discount.
Test & Learn Agenda: Design and run local test-and-learn experiments, feeding results back into the broader promotional strategy.
Competition Monitoring: Keep on top of competitor trends and market activity to keep our offers sharp and well-positioned.
Commercial Business Cases: Build business cases with financials for scaling a successful test into a recurring, budgeted promotional mechanic.
Customer Advocacy: Champion the consumer voice, ensuring every promotion offers genuine value rather than just a lower price.
Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex datasets into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
What You'll Need to Thrive:
Experience: 5-8 years of experience in Growth Marketing, Data Analytics, User Segmentation, Marketing, Commercial Strategy, or Promotions within a high-growth technology, marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer platform.
Commercial Acumen: Proven experience owning customer incentive strategies and promotional campaigns that drive measurable business outcomes. Working knowledge of core commercial metrics (CAC, LTV, GMV, margin impact) and how promotional decisions move them is a plus.Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Analytics, or a related discipline.
Analytical Rigor: Strong analytical skills - proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and BI tools like Looker, and comfortable interpreting data to shape campaign decisions.
Technical know-how: Experience running or supporting A/B tests and translating results into recommendations.
Collaborative Leadership: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
Execution Focus: A self-starter attitude, with a proven ability to deliver results quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation.
Language Skills: Fluent English; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage in this market.
Why Deliveroo?
We are a small team, with very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, we're always looking for new ideas and we're very transparent about the decisions we make and why we make them.
There are so many questions we need to answer and plenty more we haven't even encountered. How do data and technology help restaurants to grow as consumer habits change? How can we predict what someone wants to order for dinner long before the idea has even crossed their mind?
Workplace & Diversity
At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. We offer multiple great benefits in areas including health, family, finance, community, convenience, growth and relocation.
We believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest growing startups in an exciting space.
