Introducing the Trainline Brand Team 👋

The Brand team sits at the heart of how Trainline shows up in the world, shaping the perceptions of millions of customers, building lasting brand equity, and ensuring everything we put out is as distinctive and purposeful as the product behind it. We work at the intersection of creative ambition and commercial rigour, delivering campaigns that drive real growth while keeping Trainline front of mind across the UK.

As Interim Senior Brand Manager, you will own the UK brand strategy and lead high-impact integrated campaigns that strengthen brand health and deliver commercial results. Reporting to the Head of Brand & Campaigns, you will be the UK brand custodian, setting creative direction, shaping messaging, and partnering closely with teams across Marketing, Data Science, and Product to ensure our brand shows up consistently and confidently at every stage of the customer journey.

In this role as the Interim Senior Brand Manager, you will...🚄

  • Translate global brand and proposition strategy into locally relevant, growth-driving execution, ensuring our brand platform is embedded consistently across all customer touchpoints.

  • Own the end-to-end development and delivery of integrated campaigns from brief to launch, balancing short-term commercial needs with long-term brand building.

  • Lead and challenge creative agency partners to produce standout, distinctive work, acting as the internal champion for courageous, high-quality creative across every brief, review, and execution.

  • Drive strong go-to-market execution for key product and proposition launches, ensuring cohesive and impactful delivery across all brand touchpoints.

  • Set clear campaign objectives and partner with Data Science and Insights to embed robust measurement, testing, and optimisation from the outset.

  • Own UK brand tracking, translating insight into clear action and continuously improving campaign effectiveness and return on investment.

  • Manage the UK brand budget with strong financial discipline, maintaining high standards across briefing, creative appraisal, and execution governance.

  • Line manage and coach junior members of the team, building a culture of high standards, considered risk-taking, and test-and-learn marketing.

We'd love to hear from you if you have...🔍

  • Significant experience in brand marketing within a consumer-facing business, with a proven track record of delivering campaigns that are creatively distinctive and commercially effective.

  • Strong creative judgment, with the ability to recognise genuinely great work and articulate clearly what makes it land.

  • A clear, confident point of view on brand, and the ability to champion that perspective while bringing others on the journey with you.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of how brand investment translates into measurable business growth.

  • Experience leading and challenging creative agencies to produce their most distinctive and impactful work.

  • A collaborative and influential working style, with the ability to build strong relationships and align stakeholders across teams and at all levels of seniority.

  • Comfort working with data, measurement frameworks, and performance analysis, with the ability to turn insight into clear, actionable decisions.

  • Ideally, experience line managing or mentoring junior team members, and a genuine commitment to supporting others' development.
