About this role
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
TECHNICAL TRAINER II, EHS SAFETY
The Technical Trainer, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), trains and certifies SpaceX personnel at Memphis in safety, equipment use, and technical work. You deliver high-risk and operational safety training, keep courses current with process and document changes, and partner with EHS and the shop floor as the site moves from construction into production. This position reports to the Technical Training Manager.

Enforce training gates: no verified competency, no high-risk task.

- Create, maintain, and continuously improve course materials, including presentations, hands-on aids, student handouts, and assessments, for live and online programs.

- Support the learning management system (LMS): assigns required training, keeps records accurate and audit-ready, and maintains clean, actionable data.
- Partner with production, engineering, quality, safety, facilities, construction, infrastructure, and subject matter experts to extract complex knowledge and stand up the training their work requires.
- Walk the production floor and the construction site. Deliver and audit training at the point of work.
- Monitor human error, quality, and safety trends related to training and implements solutions that demonstrate a downward trend.
- Support standup of Memphis safety training through new-building and infrastructure construction into operations, including orientation, task-specific, high-risk, and site-specific training from mobilization through production.
- Travel to other SpaceX sites as required to meet training demand.
- Take extreme ownership of issues from start to finish. When an incident, quality escape, or missed qualification traces back to training, owns the training root-cause analysis, corrective action, and verification.
- Perform special assignments as required (for example, supporting process, equipment, or facility modifications in the field).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with confined space entry, hazardous materials (HAZMAT) general awareness, lockout-tagout, respiratory protection, crane operation (including rigging), forklift, and aerial platform use.

About SpaceX
SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches the world’s most advanced rockets and spacecraft. The company was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk to revolutionize space transportation, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary. SpaceX has gained worldwide attention for a series of historic milestones. It is the only private company ever to return a spacecraft from low-Earth orbit, which it first accomplished in December 2010. The company made history again in May 2012 when its Dragon spacecraft attached to the International Space Station, exchanged cargo payloads, and returned safely to Earth - a technically challenging feat previously accomplished only by governments. Since then Dragon has delivered cargo to and from the space station multiple times, providing regular cargo resupply missions for NASA. For more information, visit www.spacex.com.
