Who we are
Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing - and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.
Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.
About the role:
Samsara is looking for a Head of Executive Communications to lead our executive communications program. In this role, you will mainly partner directly with our CEO and Co-founder to build and sharpen his voice internally and externally.
We are looking for a highly strategic communicator who can effortlessly pivot between key audiences and understands the value in going direct. This role is responsible for crafting, refining, and stewarding the CEO's voice across internal and external channels and formats - from keynotes at our annual customer conference all the way down to social media posts.
This role requires an individual who is an excellent writer, has strong judgment, and knows how to establish trusted relationships with executives. Additionally, the ideal candidate is someone who embraces and leverages AI tools in their day-to-day work, and is excited to build AI agents to keep them organized and informed.
This role is part of Samsara's Communications Team.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as a trusted counselor and thought partner to the CEO and Co-founder to define communication priorities, messaging platforms, and narrative strategies
- Lead all types of content creation including presentations, videos, long-form content, employee communications, customer communications, social media, and more
- Seamlessly switch between communicating to each of our key audiences, so that the right message lands at the right time via the right channel. That means you'll need to be able to craft clear narratives on everything from macro business trends to issues that affect our customers, to the hard problems our engineers get to work on every day
- Actively integrate AI tools into your daily workflow to research and iterate on executive content, stay informed on topics related to our audiences, and keep organized
- Manage and plan how the CEO and Co-founder prepares for, shows up at, and delivers a message
- Partner closely with internal and corporate communications, customer marketing, IR, and other cross-functional leaders as needed
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience supporting a C-suite executive, ideally a CEO or founder
- Comfort communicating across multiple products and industries and translating that complexity into a coherent narrative
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editing skills with a proven ability to create compelling executive-level content
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build trust with senior leaders
- Data-driven storytelling mindset paired with disciplined execution
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
An ideal candidate also has:
- An understanding of and/or experience in physical AI, fleet, logistics, construction, or technology built for the physical world
- Experience at a publicly traded company

Total Rewards
At Samsara, we build for the people who keep the global economy moving. We want owners, not passengers, which is why our rewards are designed to fuel high-impact builders. Our compensation program delivers above-market total compensation through a combination of base salary, performance-based bonus/variable pay, and equity (for eligible roles) in a high-growth public company. We meaningfully differentiate pay for our top performers, who have the opportunity to earn above-market compensation that can outpace the broader market over time.
Beyond compensation, we provide the foundations that enable long-term success: a flexible, employee-led remote model, a professional development stipend, comprehensive health and parental leave plans, and more. If you’re ready to build for the long term and own the outcome, your journey starts here.

Our goal is to ensure that all members of our team can contribute effectively, whether they are working on-site, in a hybrid model, or fully remotely. All offers of employment are contingent upon an individual’s ability to secure and maintain the legal right to work at the company and in the specified work location, if applicable.
