As a Senior Software Developer on this high-impact team, you’ll collaborate across engineering, business, operations, and vendor channels to support critical infrastructure. Most product initiatives begin with us, as we enable reliable, scalable access to financial instrument data across Robinhood! Your work will help drive new feature rollouts and product expansions across multiple lines of business!

The WonderFi team including Coinsquare and Bitbuy, is now part of Robinhood and gives the company a direct path into the regulated Canadian crypto market through WonderFi’s licenses, platforms, and existing customer base. As part of the transition, Robinhood is gradually migrating eligible WonderFi customers onto the Robinhood Canada platform, with Bitbuy and Coinsquare accounts moving to read-only mode after migration while customers retain access to past transactions and tax documents for a period of time.

These roles are based in our Toronto, ON, Canada office, with hybrid attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
● Build scalable systems and backend components, balancing stability, performance, and maintainability
● Design, implement, test, and deploy production-ready features with high correctness and low-latency requirements
● Partner with frontend and data teams to refine APIs used by millions of customers
● Mentor junior developers and technically lead complex projects across teams
● Identify and implement improvements for system performance and team workflows

What you bring
● 5+ years of professional software development experience
● 3+ years designing and building large-scale, distributed, low-latency systems
● Proficiency in highly concurrent backend system development and intuitive API design
● Demonstrated ability to deliver long-term impact on systems or team-wide architecture
● Strong judgment and prioritization skills, with the ability to lead initiatives and mentor peers

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed.

Base Pay Range:

Toronto, ON$166,000-$195,000 CAD
