Come join our team of clinicians, innovators, operators, and technologists passionate about setting a new standard in maternity care.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Patient Care Associate to join our collaborative maternity practice. We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, empathetic, and passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience.

In this role, you’ll be a primary point of contact for patient inquiries and will work closely with our Customer Experience, Clinical Operations, and clinical teams to ensure smooth, supportive patient journeys. This early-career position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys working on a dynamic, mission-driven team.

This is a full-time role at our Charlotte Clinic, 129 Greenwich Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211

What You'll Do

  • Answer incoming patient calls with warmth, professionalism, and consistency
  • Respond to patient messages and route them to the appropriate team
  • Provide timely assistance with scheduling, directions, and general inquiries
  • Process medical record requests (sending/receiving, ensuring accuracy, mapping records to the EMR, responding to requests, calling other healthcare entities to obtain records)
  • Route patient questions or concerns to the appropriate care team member
  • Document all interactions in Oula’s systems with attention to detail
  • Support patient onboarding and access to virtual care resources
  • Collaborate closely with Care Coordinators, Front Desk Associates, and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient experiences
  • Be present on-site at our clinics during scheduled hours, travel regularly to other clinic locations, and provide cross-coverage at the Front Desk
  • Complete additional administrative tasks related to daily patient requests or needs as directed by the Clinic Manager

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college and/or healthcare-related coursework preferred
  • Passion for improving maternity care through a combination of clinical care, technology, patient empowerment and education
  • Ruthlessly organized and detail-oriented in your daily tasks
  • Committed to providing outstanding service in the maternal healthcare space
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Dependable and adaptable, with the ability to navigate new and evolving processes
  • Excited about the opportunity and fast-paced work environment of an early-stage company

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a customer service, administrative, or healthcare support role (not required)
  • Prior experience working with Athena, EPIC, Dorsata, Slack and/or Google Suite
  • Spanish or other non-English language proficiency

Our Values: ECHOES

These six values guide how we work with patients and with each other.

Excellence. We care deeply about our patients, our work, and each other. That care drives a growth mindset: always learning, iterating, and raising the bar on what is possible.

Candor. We care enough to be candid. We have hard conversations with respect, empathy, and clarity, because avoiding them does a disservice to our patients, our teammates, and the business.

Humanity. We lead with curiosity and listen to understand. We seek out perspectives shaped by different identities, cultures, and lived experiences. We recognize that each of us is a whole person with a life outside of work.

Ownership. We push the mission forward with an entrepreneurial spirit, getting ahead of problems rather than reacting to them. We are scrappy and decisive, jumping in to support the team while working toward sustainable solutions.

Evidence. We answer with proof points, not just intuition. Instinct is a signal that pushes us to look deeper. It is the start of an inquiry, not the end.

Service. We exist to create a better healthcare system and experience. Every billing decision, hiring choice, and line of code eventually reaches the patient, and we build with them in mind. In every role, the patient stays at the center.
