About the Role

As a team who drives product development from ideation to full rollout, the Design team ensures that our product experiences are valuable to our users. Designers at Nubank must deal with complex problems and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use experiences for millions of people.

You'd be joining the Payroll INSS Squad, responsible for delivering a simple, humanized and complete borrowing experience for Mass Market INSS retirees and pensioners who need to borrow money to make ends meet and reach their goals. We're looking for a designer who is passionate about this specific customer segment and about making an old, regulated, and complex product feel easy to use and humane.

You’ll be Responsible for

• Translate complex user insights and data (CSAT, research, analytics) into clear design opportunities and product bets that support business KPIs and revenue growth.

• Own end-to-end, scalable experiences, ensuring features connect into a cohesive product ecosystem while accounting for legal constraints, business needs, and NuDS standards.

• Scope and lead design projects from discovery through final handoff, validating technical feasibility and driving high-quality execution with minimal supervision.

• Be a technical reference for the team, adapting and replicating market best practices to raise the team's bar.

• Build links with other business areas at all levels of the organization, influencing business decisions and defending design logic with Product, Engineering, and Business partners.

• Establish and promote a healthy team culture, inspiring fellow designers through a high bar of quality work.

• Thrive in an agile, evolving environment, showing resilience and strong collaboration while pushing the boundaries of the team's UX/UI/visual execution.

What We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• Solid expertise in Product Design (UI, UX, and Research).

• Experience in digital products, ideally with regulated or complex financial products.

• Excellent English: verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work well in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, fast-paced startup environment.

• Ability to influence prioritization in an agile environment, adapting to shifting priorities and stakeholder needs with openness and agility.

• Desirable: AI and WhatsApp knowledge, to address INSS customers' need for humanized, timely support
