This position is for an IC7 Mobile Software Engineer to join the Data Intelligence Squad inside the AI Core BU.

AI Core is the business unit helping make Nubank an AI-first company. Its mission is to power key decisions and customer interactions on a shared platform that gets smarter with every transaction and conversation. In practice, AI Core sits at the intersection of predictive intelligence, AI-native customer experiences, and platform building: from foundation models that improve credit, risk, pricing, and recommendations, to products like AI Private Banker, to the underlying data, orchestration, and infrastructure that let intelligent systems operate at scale.

This is a uniquely high-impact moment for the BU. AI Core is building the foundations that allow Nubank to solve high-value problems with AI, raise the quality of models and responses, and turn promising ideas into production-ready products faster.

About the Data Intelligence Squad

Data Intelligence is the horizontal data layer that powers Foundation Models and GenAI at Nubank. It unlocks Nubank's data ecosystem by orchestrating, enriching, and serving the signals that help us understand each customer more deeply.

We work across the entire ML lifecycle, from building data pipelines and preparing high-quality signals to enabling machine learning experimentation and model improvement.

We're now expanding our scope to customer data collection through the Nubank app - and that's where you come in.

As an engineer on the Data Intelligence Squad, you'll lead efforts to collect additional device metadata from customers - for example, by integrating third-party SDKs into the app. This data will power improvements to our Foundation Models - which drive high-impact use cases across the company, including credit and lending models - and will underpin new product lines such as Location Intelligence.

What we're looking for

An IC7 Mobile Software Engineer with more than 6 months of tenure who:

• Has hands-on experience shipping changes to the Nubank app.

• Can evaluate the impact of app changes, safeguarding latency, reliability, and customer experience against regressions.

• Operates at multiple altitudes - writing code, shaping technical direction, and aligning with stakeholders.

• Thrives in high-ambiguity environments, takes strong ownership end-to-end, and has a clear bias for action.

• Raises the bar of the team - through mentoring, technical leadership, and proactive collaboration.

• Bonus: has integrated third-party SDKs into the Nubank app.

• Bonus: can also operate on the backend side, e.g., building services to collect data from the app and store it in the ETL.
