Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

As a Legal Counsel at Flix, you can make an impact by securing the legal and regulatory foundations that allow us to operate and grow across the Croatian and Serbian markets, while building the stakeholder relationships that shape our future in the region.

About the Role

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, legal agreements, and administrative filings related to Flix's operations and authorizations in Croatia and partially Serbia
• Provide structured legal guidance and opinions to internal stakeholders on regulatory and contractual matters
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in Croatia and Serbia, assess their business impact, and proactively share relevant updates with the team
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with governmental, political, and industry stakeholders, and act as a key interface to central, regional, and local transport authorities
• Prepare, apply for, and obtain the permissions and line concessions needed to operate regular bus lines, and lead modifications to existing or new lines across both markets
• Optimize the authorization process for line authorizations and bus stops to secure timely approvals from public authorities
• Manage station-related agreements, identify new bus stop opportunities, and negotiate optimal locations with regional authorities
• Collaborate closely with external law firms and cross-functional teams including Operations, Marketing, Network Planning, and Pricing

About You

• University degree in Law
• 3 - 5 years of proven experience in legal counsel, public administration, or a related role
• Sound knowledge of Croatian civil and administrative law; knowledge of transport regulations or public procurement rules is a plus
• Hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and administrative documentation
• Able to work autonomously, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and coordinate effectively with team members and external partners
• Structured and proactive working style, with strong attention to detail and the ability to independently identify legal and operational risks and propose mitigation strategies
• Strong communication skills when dealing with public authorities
• Fluent in Croatian and English
