We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team in London. In this role, you’ll lead and grow a team of infrastructure engineers building and operating the event streaming systems that power business-critical workflows across Deliveroo, DoorDash and Wolt. This role is based in our London office with a hybrid setup, typically 3 days in the office. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING You’ll be joining the Event Streaming Systems team within the broader Storage organisation. The team builds and operates highly reliable, scalable and efficient streaming infrastructure, including Kafka, Event Streaming abstractions and future event streaming platform technologies. These systems support Tier-0 workflows and are foundational to how engineering teams build reliable, event-driven products at scale. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like: - Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for Kafka, EventBus, and event streaming infrastructure. - Drive delivery of key streaming platform initiatives, balancing reliability, scalability, and long-term evolution. - Partner with infrastructure and engineering leaders across Deliveroo, DoorDash, and Wolt to define streaming strategy and roadmap. - Improve the scalability, observability, automation, and reliability of Tier-0 streaming systems. - Foster operational
