About this role

Who we are

Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress.

Over the last decade, software has transformed the digital world. But the physical world, where food is made, minerals are mined, goods are moved, and industries are run, remains far less intelligent, far less efficient, and far more constrained. We’re changing that.

Atoms builds Physical AI - real-world robots for the industries that move civilization forward, starting with food, mining, and transport. Our systems are designed to understand, predict, and control the real world with precision, turning complex physical operations into something more reliable, more scalable, and more productive.

This work requires more than robotics. It requires deep integration across hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate. We don’t just build machines in a lab. We deploy them into real environments, operate them, learn from them, and improve them until they work at scale.

We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders. We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life.

If you want to work on hard problems with real-world impact, join us.

What you’ll be doing

We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our Facility Tech Team.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Optimizing how food moves through our facilities: Design software and workflows that help facility staff manage the flow of thousands of orders each day. From dashboards and coordination tools to staging, sorting, and courier handoff workflows, you'll apply service design thinking to improve how food moves through our facilities. Your work will bridge digital and physical systems, accounting for real-world operational constraints while creating scalable processes that increase efficiency, capacity, and reliability.
  • Empowering our kitchen partners to scale: Build software that helps kitchen teams efficiently prepare, manage, and fulfill orders. From kitchen display systems and order management tools to production workflows and operational insights, your work will help restaurants increase throughput while maintaining a high-quality experience.
  • Building tools that help restaurants run their business: Create products that support restaurant partners throughout their lifecycle in our facilities. From onboarding and facility access to rent management, storage, maintenance requests, and operational support, you'll help restaurants successfully manage and grow their business.
  • Leveraging AI to supercharge how we design, sell, and support: Explore, design, and implement AI-powered solutions for our customers as well as internal tools for our design team. Our goal is to smartly leverage AI to scale our business and make smarter, faster decisions.
  • Collaborating deeply with product managers, engineers, and operations: Iteratively plan, build, test, and launch products that solve real user problems and push the business forward.
  • Participating in design critiques and cross-functional reviews: Refine ideas, gather rapid feedback, and iterate on high-impact solutions.
  • Understanding and championing our users: Conduct discovery research to surface user insights that influences your team's strategy and prioritizing usability by testing your designs with real users.
  • Enhancing our design system: Contribute and improve core patterns that support consistency across our products.

What we’re looking for

  • A passion for food and helping restaurateurs succeed!
  • 3+ years of experience in product or UX design.
  • Strong full-stack design skills; from interaction design to visual design to system thinking, and everything in between.
  • A proven track record of building products from the ground up and working effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Familiarity with designing complex data-driven applications like dashboards, maps, and analytics.
  • Familiarity with designing mobile apps.
  • An impact-driven mindset that prioritizes delivering value to customers as fast as possible.
  • An ability to be a strategic partner by helping to understand the competitive environment and shape a vision for how our products will fit in the market.
  • A team player who is a proactive communicator, has no ego, and loves to collaborate with others.
  • Sound judgement that combines data with instinct to build the right thing and meet business objectives.
