About this role
Building Healthcare That Remembers
Every time you call a doctor's office, the system forgets you the moment you hang up. You wait on hold, explain everything from scratch, get bounced between lines, and hope someone follows up. Everyone has felt this. No one should have to.
At Assort Health, we're building one continuous conversation for every patient. An AI agent that knows who you are, remembers how you like to be reached, and carries that context from your first symptom to your full recovery. What began as the first voice AI agent to schedule a specialty appointment has become the largest proprietary specialty dataset in healthcare: 210 million patient interactions, 62,000 care protocols, 1.6 million decision pathways.
We went from 15 people in 2025 and will cross 250 by the end of 2026. Revenue is up 20x in 15 months and we've raised $222 million, including a recent $120 million Series C at a $1.2 billion valuation. We've also been named to the Forbes Cloud 100 and the 2026 Enterprise Tech 30 as the only healthcare AI company on the list!
Healthcare spends $1.1 trillion a year on administration instead of care. If you want to help change that, apply below.
About the Role
As a Solutions Engineer, you'll serve as the trusted technical advisor on our complex engagements across the MidMarket and Enterprise. You’ll work closely with our prospects and customers to translate business goals into scalable AI workflows built on our platform and integrated with their healthcare systems. You'll also work closely with internal teams to help ensure seamless deployment and adoption.
To be successful, you will need a strong understanding of patient access and engagement as well as technical depth in healthcare technology and AI.
This is an ideal role for a technical builder (three years into a pre-sales or solutions engineering career) who's excited about healthcare and AI, and who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
This role reports to the Director of Solutions Engineering.
Location Preference: San Francisco or New York City
What You'll Do
Serve as the senior technical advisor on customer and prospect engagements across MidMarket and Enterprise.
Lead complex demonstrations and technical discovery, translating complex concepts for both technical and business stakeholders.
Partner with Sales to drive strategic opportunities from qualification through technical close.
Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives spanning Sales, Product, Marketing and Engineering.
Mentor and guide less-experienced Solutions Engineers, and develop reusable assets (demos, reference architectures, enablement) that scale the team's impact.
Provide high-value feedback to Product and Engineering to inform platform evolution and feature prioritization.
What You'll Bring
3 years of pre-sales experience, with a track record of leading large, complex, cross-functional engagements; comfortable with a 70:30 comp split.
1-3 years of healthcare or healthcare-technology experience (e.g., former healthcare operator or clinician, worked for a healthcare technology company such as an EHR, PMS, etc.)
High sales acumen and executive presence on customer calls, with strong discovery and objection handling.
Strong technical depth with the ability to translate complex concepts and drive consensus across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience managing, integrating, or implementing healthcare technology (PMS, RCM, EHR, Patient Engagement) or enterprise systems (ERP, CDP, CRM).
A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and adaptability, with comfort operating in dynamic, high-growth environments and context-switching across priorities.
Must be able to overlap with PST hours as needed
Expectation to travel up to 50% if needed.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with voice AI technology
Familiarity with healthcare data formats (e.g., FHIR, HL7)
Prior experience at a high-growth AI or healthcare technology startup
Pay Transparency Disclosure
