For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Technical Project Manager - In-person Payments Software Release

In-person payments at Adyen go beyond payments made in stores on traditional terminals. We also power shopper experiences on small card readers and on phones. This part of our business is growing fast, and we're looking for a Technical Project Manager to own and improve the software release process.

The IPP Integrity team improves how Adyen's In-Person Payments products are tested, released, certified and monitored, to raise their quality, predictability and reliability. We work with other internal teams to make these processes more data-driven, streamlined and automated. Our goal is to help Adyen's engineering teams build and verify their products on their own, quickly and at massive scale.

In this role you will:

  • Plan and organize the software release schedule and coordinate the release with the engineering teams.
  • Lead and complete various strategic internal projects related to improving our release management, testing, monitoring and incident management processes.
  • Collaborate with external and internal, technical and non-technical teams to make your projects a success.
  • Define overarching metrics for the performance of our release quality, monitoring and testing tools.
  • Proactively improve or create processes to improve the reliability, quality, or execution speed of our firmware releases.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have 3+ years experience in project management within a technical environment.
    • A big plus are experience in topics including: Reliability, Release Management, DevOps, Testing, Monitoring and/or Incident Management.
  • You have a good understanding of the software development process from planning to release and monitoring.
    • Previous knowledge related to the payments industry or payment terminals is not required, but is a strong plus.
  • You enjoy working independently and autonomously in your day-to-day.
  • You work best under uncertainty and enjoy scoping full projects and processes.
  • You have strong communication (in English), stakeholder management and project management skills.
  • You have outstanding analytical skills, and are not afraid to dive into complex, technical subjects.
