About this role
This is Adyen
Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.
For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
The Team
The Authentication Interfaces team delivers a range of authentication products that provide an additional layer of verification for on-line payments. We own a multitude of authentication mechanisms leveraging a wider range of data and biometrics to deliver an improved, consistent online shopping experience.
Authentication ensures seamless journeys, minimizing friction while securing transactions. We enable our merchants to minimize fraud and increase conversion and authorization rates by adding an additional layer of security to confirm a shopper's identity. We help merchants grow their business with improved authorization rates, lower fraud, liability protection, and compliance with local industry regulations.
We maintain services of critical importance, processing more than 130 million transactions in an average week at Adyen. Processing at scale is business as usual for us.
Our crucial role extends beyond existing methods for securing payments: we are heavily investing in and developing cutting-edge technology, including passkeys for authentication and solutions for agentic commerce. This commitment helps our merchants stay competitive in the continually evolving payment and tech environment.
What You'll Do
As an engineer on our team, you'll have full ownership of the features you build, from initial design to deployment and live monitoring. You'll be a problem-solver shaping a core part of Adyen's platform.

- Uphold our high standards for system health by implementing robust observability into the authentication flow to deliver the best shopper experience.
- You will be part of a diverse and inclusive team.
- We launch fast and iterate often. Concretely, this means that within your first few weeks, you will bring code live that impacts many businesses and shoppers.
- Collaborate across teams and time zones to make things happen, review code, and be open to giving and receiving feedback.
