Espresso Systems is a technology company building digital asset infrastructure for enterprises. We design, build, and operate production-grade applications on Espresso, a high-performance blockchain we created that provides real-time settlement, subsecond finality, and data throughput designed to scale to millions of transactions per second. Unlike legacy blockchains, we designed Espresso to serve as a foundation for many independent chains and custom applications. We believe the future is multichain, and build with that thesis in mind. Founded in 2020 by a cohort of PhDs out of Stanford's cryptography program, Espresso Systems has pushed the state-of-the-art in blockchain design when it comes to achieving speed, security, and scale. The company is backed by over $50 million of capital from Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, Coinbase Ventures and more.
